The first results of the program have surpassed all of our expectations. From the first days, it looked like the members of the families knew each other for the whole lives. Without any pressure, children began to call their foster parents 'papa' and 'mama'. Even the older children, who may have had some difficulties during the process of rehabilitation, have changed their outlook and have begun to be good parent's helpers.After some time, children begin to mimic their foster parents behavior and style of speech. Most of the children who live in families improve in the performance in school, both behaviorally and academically. They have become more self-reliant and they dream of becoming parents in such families. The members of families are proud of each other and encourage one another. In one example, the children and parents have become so close that the parents intend to adopt all their children and to move to their own house separate from the center. ALSO: |
