The Father's House Center of Social Care for Children was registered in 2000 and is located in Petrivske, a town on the outskirts of Kyiv. As of spring of 2005, sixty-seven children aged three to eighteen years live in the center.
Our goal - The improvement of living conditions for 'at risk' children and support for their families. This is achieved through a full spectrum of social, psychological and spiritual rehabilitation of the child as well as providing all-round development and preparation for living in the family and ultimately for independent living.
Main tasks: Children who live at the Center are cared for holistically. Their well being is sought after physically, mentally and spiritually with a focus on gaining an understanding the child's mental, emotional, and spiritual condition. We then seek to bring restoration to the whole person. The aim of Father's House is to overcome the physical and psychological traumas that 'at-risk' children have experienced and aid them in preparation for their future life with new priorities and possibilities.
