Once upon a time there was a sunny-boy, his name was Sergiy. He was a sun but he didn't know about it, that's why he behaved like a spiny hedgehog. He had a mother but her love was so small that the boy went to live on the street.

He was rolling on his life: sometimes he would roll to a train car to sing a song, sometimes he would rich out his hand to beg kind people for help … He has met different people: some felt sorry for him, some gave money and some passed by disregarding him. He could live this way and one day he would turn into a big hedgehog with spiny needles. He thought it is impossible to survive in this world not having thorns. Sergiy has learned this lesson well.

But once an unexpected event happened in the boy's life - he was told about wonderful island, where such children like him were living. Sergey has also heard about God who loves him and even gave His life for him. The Island of Treasures proved to be unusual: a river, motor boat, and camp-fire on evenings. When he has stepped on the island, he suddenly realized that his life can change.

With time Sergiy made himself at home on the island, he was living in tent with other children. He never thought that it would be so hard to start a new life: to wake up early in the morning for exercises, to wash his face, to brush teeth and to launder… Sometimes he wanted to give up, and a thought to run away seemed the best way out.

Sometimes 'hedgehog' remembered that he still has thorns: he was angry and offended. But the more he tried to roll himself into a ball to set up his needles, the more one saw that his thorns turned into sun rays. How was it possible?

Of course it was God! He has heard prayers of the boy and saw his desire to change. There was a smile on Sergiy's face, his freckles became brighter than sun rays and his short white hair was standing on ends.

Sergiy - Sunny Boy has proved to be smart and curious kid. Now he lives at the Father's House center, learns to play the piano, and has a dream to go to the sea.

One day he will certainly get to know how many miracles God has made in his life.
