On the 4th of July the Island of Treasures rehabilitation summer camp visited the Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs of Ukraine Yuri Pavlenko. It was informal visit and went, as it is usual in the camp. While adults talked about helping homeless children and how NGOs and churches can work with the government in order to achieve greater results, the children impatiently waited for their time. They have prepared many surprises for their guests: dramas, songs, and special presents for 'Uncle' Yuri: a wreath and painted plate. He was also given a picture with all of the islanders and unlimited permit allowing entrance to the island. Now at any time of day and night he can came to the Island of Treasures to visit his young friends.
